FishinAZ.com is part of a network of outdoor sites in Arizona to provide anglers everywhere a complete fishing resource. Southern Arizona Bass fishing is our major theme, however we will also cover Northern Pike, Walleye, other Bass and all the other fish found in Southern Arizona and all over. Rainbow Lake

Location Description:
Much of the area surrounding Rainbow Lake is private property, so respect other's boundaries. Much of the shoreline is weedy; a boat is almost a necessity, except for the rocky areas where it's possible to set up a perch on the slabs. Try shore fishing off the north or west ends. A new boat ramp, car-top boat launching area, courtesy dock, restrooms, and a parking area have been recently added.

During the winter, bald eagles are common around the lake.

The lake is down about 1.5 feet. The boat ramp is accessible. Fishing is poor to fair for rainbow trout. Try worms, Power Bait (green, yellow or rainbow colored), lures, and flies. Black bullheads are plentiful, which are easy for kids to catch on night crawlers or other catfish baits fished on the bottom. Catfish should be hitting worms, chicken livers and prepared baits. Fish near the weeds using night crawlers for bluegills. Fish early and late in the day.

The lake is down about 11/2 feet. The boat ramp is accessible. Fishing is poor to fair for rainbow trout. Was last stocked with catchable size rainbow trout during the week of June 21. Water temperatures have been in the 70s. Try worms, Power Bait (green, yellow or rainbow colored), lures, and flies. Black bullheads are plentiful, which are easy for kids to catch on night crawlers or other catfish baits fished on the bottom. Catfish should be hitting worms, chicken livers and prepared baits. Fish early and late in the day.
